Homemade glass cleaner is just about the easiest cleaner to make. You probably already have all the ingredients you need. No measuring is required.
This is one DIY cleaning product that everyone can make.
Homemade Glass Cleaner
- In a spray bottle, mix equal parts rubbing alcohol and water. You can just eyeball it – the proportions don’t have to be exact.
- Add 2-3 drops of dish soap.
- Swirl to combine and label.
- If you really want that store-bought feel, add a couple drops of blue food coloring. It’s only there for show anyway.
Use with a lint-free cloth to clean mirrors, windows, and other hard surfaces (although it doesn’t cut through grease or disinfect like my homemade all-purpose cleaner).
Use this recipe with a fine lint-free cloth to gently clean eyeglasses as well.
This homemade glass and window cleaner doesn’t leave streaks and evaporates very quickly due to the high alcohol content.
